What is a Health and Wellness coach?
I am a guide for people who have not prioritized their mental, emotional, or physical wellness and now know that it is time to put themselves first so they can thrive in every aspect of their lives. I see wellness as an umbrella over all aspects of your life, personal, work, business, and relationships, not just about healthy eating and exercise.
How does coaching work?
During powerful coaching sessions, I listen deeply and encourage you to look within yourself to find answers to your challenges. We work together to identify your goals and break through the elements that are holding you back from reaching them.
Acknowledging that you know yourself best, I won't tell you what you need, but I help you move through your journey of self-discovery, set and achieve goals and reach optimum wellness.
How is coaching different from therapy or counseling?
Coaching concentrates on where you are now and where you want to be, setting realistic goals, identifying and breaking down barriers to your success, and moving you forward in an action-focused way.
Therapy or counseling typically focuses on the 'why' of where you are; the reasons behind your feelings or roadblocks, taking into account past traumas and experiences to help you cope and heal.
What happens in a coaching session?
Coaching sessions for individuals are 45 minutes long, and for couples 60 minutes. We start with a few moments of grounding, and then I will ask you what you would like to focus on in the session. You lead, and I walk beside you as your guide, using techniques that will help you expand your awareness of yourself, uncover obstacles that get in your way, and set achievable action steps for the coming week; step by step, you can achieve your bigger goals with success.
Where do the coaching sessions take place?
I offer coaching sessions by Zoom or phone. I also offer in-person sessions in nature if you live locally.
How much does a coaching package cost?
The costs vary depending on your time commitment. I ask for a minimum commitment of three months because change doesn't happen overnight. The investment in yourself for twelve 45-minute sessions would cost $1,500, and I am happy to discuss a payment plan if needed.
A six-month commitment is also available.
